ZERO Senators defend marriage? Barney Frank introduces DOMA repeal in 50 States.
Yesterday several Democrat Congressmen introduced a surprise bill to repeal DOMA, the 1996 Defense of [Traditional] Marriage Act, forcing homosexual “marriage” on all 50 states. To date ZERO U.S. Senators have yet joined the House effort to defend DOMA in court.
Led by 3 openly homosexual Congressmen Barney Frank (D-MA, pictured right–>), Tammy Baldwin (D-WI), and Jared Polis (D-CO), several Dems held a press conference introducing their falsely named “Respect for Marriage Act” which actually destroys traditional marriage between one man and one woman, by granting federal benefits to gay couples (aka homosexual bonus pay) with YOUR tax dollars.
While many Republicans in the House may (or may not) oppose this radical bill, the prospects for passage of homosexual marriage in the U.S. Senate are strong, since pro-homosexual Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) controls the voting schedule, and could attach such a bill to the Pentagon budget, like he did last year to pass “Hate Crimes.”
If Barney Frank’s and Harry Reid’s DOMA repeal eventually passed conference committee with the House, it would no doubt be signed by President Obama, who last month ordered his “Justice” Department to stop defending the 1996 DOMA law passed by both houses of Congress and signed by President Clinton. Without any defense lawyers, homosexual “marriage” could be imposed on all 50 states by liberal courts. Last week, after we faxed 42,000 petitions to all Congressmen, House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) appointed a committee who may soon appoint a lawyer to defend the law, since Obama won’t.
Bottom line: DOMA is now in danger a third time, not only from activist courts, not only from the President, but now from the U.S. Congress, since most Democrats hate traditional marriage between one man and one woman.
Sadly, ZERO Senators have yet joined Speaker Boehner’s effort to appoint a lawyer to defend the 1996 DOMA law, compounding the problem severely. Let’s send a message by faxing all 100 Senators our petition to defend traditional marriage and DOMA in court, and stop Barney Frank’s homosexual agenda in its tracks.

Christian Congressman Trent Franks (R-AZ), pictured right, was asked by liberal blogger Scott Keyes concerning Obama’s and Holder’s failure to defend DOMA, “I know Newt Gingrich came out and said if they don’t reverse course here, we ought to be talking about possibly impeaching either Attorney General Holder or even President Obama to try to get them to reverse course. Do you think that is something you would support?” To this question Franks replied, “If it could gain the collective support, absolutely.”
The blogger also asked Franks: ”What recourse does Congress have? Could you, for instance, defund the Department of Justice (DOJ) if they don’t reverse course and start to enforce the Defense of Marriage Act?” To which Franks answered, “That’s probably the strongest leverage that we have.” Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) may soon appoint a special counsel to defend the law. Funds to the liberal DOJ could be reduced to pay conservative lawyers to defend DOMA, if enough Congressmen support that.
Former Alabama Supreme Court Justice Roy Moore told WND.com that his organization, the Foundation for Moral Law, has filed an amicus brief to defend the federal definition of marriage between one man and one woman.
“I’m glad we didn’t elect to depend on the president to defend our law,” Judge Moore said. “I hope now Congress will step up and take up the battle where the president has stopped…Basically, he’s not upholding the rule of law.” Let’s stand with Franks and Moore to demand Congress defend traditional marriage and the 1996 DOMA law.

Congress has not yet appointed a special counsel to defend the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act in a Connecticut case where two lesbians are demanding a $363,053 tax refund (aka homosexual “bonus pay”) from the federal government. The two lesbian lovers were reportedly “married” in Canada but not America, and when one died, the other could no longer evade paying estate taxes, so the surviving lesbian hired the ACLU to sue the United States to recognize homosexual “marriage,” and collect their six figure tax-rebate check. Then last month President Obama directed Attorney General Holder to stop defending the case, essentially conceding your tax dollars must now pay the lesbian couples taxes, and pay their ACLU lawyers, and recognize homosexual “marriage” as lawful, not only in Connecticut, but in all 50 states nationwide.
Yahoo News reported: “The Justice Department will also drop its defense in a similar case in Connecticut federal court with seven plaintiffs. Each plaintiff in the Connecticut case is a surviving same-sex partner who is being denied benefits because the federal government doesn’t recognize the marriage. Attorney General Eric Holder has informed House Speaker John Boehner that he or other members of Congress may defend the law if they choose. No one has officially stepped forward yet to take on the defense.”
Did I read that correctly? Not one single Senator is yet willing to defend the 1996 DOMA law that defines marriage between one man and one woman? Why aren’t they sending lawyers to court? I don’t understand their delay. Let’s take action, by calling 202-224-3121 to demand YOUR Senator defend the lawsuit, and defend traditional marriage as only sacred between ONE MAN AND ONE WOMAN. You could even call the same phone number 100 times to ask ALL Senators why they don’t care to defend traditional marriage in court, as Holder has invited them to do. Don’t have time to make 100 phone calls? Please sign our petition, and we’ll auto-fax all 100 Sens with YOUR NAME on each page.

House Majority Leader Eric Cantor told students at Harvard on Thursday, “Congress is mulling its options,” after President Obama ordered his administration to stop defending the constitutionality of a federal law that bans recognition of gay marriage.
The Virginia Republican said he was “a little taken aback” after the administration said Wednesday that it would no longer fight legal challenges to the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), which defines marriage as only between a man and a woman.
Cantor then rebuked Obama for lawlessness. ”I’ve never been around when a president decided not to defend a law on the books and to me it is contrary to the sense that we are a nation of laws,” he said. “There is a process by which this country reviews its laws.”
Cantor said, “There are some options available to us legislatively that we’re looking at,” he said. Several lawsuits have challenged the constitutionality of the 15-year-old law.
Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley filed a lawsuit attacking traditional marriage nationwide, which the Obama Administration will no longer defend, but will allow individual Congressmen to step in and defend the DOMA law.
Cantor said he believed that marriage should be between a man and a woman. Is your Senator joining the lawsuit to defend traditional marriage? Let’s petition them all.

Last month the Obama Administration ordered the Justice Department to stop defending the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act [DOMA] which prohibits homosexual “marriage” and defines traditional marriage between one man and one woman. All 50 states will soon be forced to welcome homosexual “marriage” in federal court, unless their individual members of Congress intervene. The Hill newspaper reports U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder left open the possibility that individual Congressmen would be permitted to defend DOMA law, if they choose to join lawsuits in place of the Obama Administration.
Associated Press reports, “In a major policy reversal, the Obama administration said Wednesday it will no longer defend the constitutionality of a federal law banning recognition of same-sex marriage. Attorney General Eric Holder said President Barack Obama has concluded that the administration cannot defend the federal law that defines marriage as only between a man and a woman.”
At a December news conference, Obama said his position on gay marriage is “constantly evolving.” [It's not evolving. He wants gay marriage.] But Traditional Values Coalition Director Andrea Lafferty said, “This unprecedented power grab demands the immediate reaction of the United States House of Representatives, who must do everything possible to fight back against what can only be described as a despotic and alarming attack on the rule of law.”
Congress has authority to defend traditional marriage DOMA lawsuits if the President won’t. Will your Senator defend traditional marriage? Let’s ask them. Call 202-225-3121, and then let’s bury them all in fax paper.

The Justice Department had defended the act in court until last month. The move quickly drew praise from homosexual Congressman Barney Frank who told TPM news: ”It’s great news…I got some indication they were thinking about their position and I urged them to go ahead with it. I thought there would be no political problem.” The move drew swift rebuke from Speaker John Boehner (R-OH)’s spokesman Michael Steel: ”While Americans want Washington to focus on creating jobs and cutting spending, the president will have to explain why he thinks now is the appropriate time to stir up a controversial issue that sharply divides the nation.”
But here’s the good news: The Hill newspaper reports AG Holder left open the possibility that individual Congressmen would be permitted to defend DOMA law. ”While both the wisdom and the legality of Section 3 of DOMA will continue to be the subject of both extensive litigation and public debate, this administration will no longer assert its constitutionality in court,” Holder said. ”I have informed Members of Congress of this decision, so Members who wish to defend the statute may pursue that option. The Department will also work closely with the courts to ensure that Congress has a full and fair opportunity to participate in pending litigation.”
But is your Senator willing to defend DOMA in court? If not, then all 50 states will be forced to embrace homosexual “marriage” by President Obama’s failure to defend the law in courts everywhere, nationwide. Let’s take action…
