Christians are being persecuted in the Middle East … and your United States tax dollars are helping fund their mistreatment!

Think about it … Christians killed for their beliefs … murdered in the streets … arrested in their own homes for praying!

And the Obama administration is just turning the other way, preferring instead to “make nice” with the fundamentalist groups responsible!

The violence is especially bad in Egypt. After President Hosni Mubarak was removed from power, the anti-Christian forces became more bold. On October 9, at least 24 Christians were killed and hundreds more injured when the Egyptian army deliberately drove military vehicles through the crowd of demonstrators.

The United States of America PAID for those vehicles to slaughter Christians …because Egypt receives over $2 billion every year from YOU, the U.S. taxpayer.

Why is the United States sending money to countries that allow religious persecution? Congress needs to protect Christians around the world. Please contact Congress right now and tell them to STOP sending money to countries that murder Christians!

Conservative Action Alerts notified you previously that the Obama administration held secret meetings with the Muslim Brotherhood, and encouraged the uprising in Egypt. Since that country fell into instability, Christians have been targeted by the violent Salafis, who are even MORE radical than the Muslim Brotherhood, and they are determined to wipe out all religions other than Islam.

But, ask yourself, WHY? Why would our President want to reach out to the violent Muslim Brotherhood? He claims he is for “peace,” but there is NO PEACE for the embattled Christians in those countries! The State Department will not stop aid, and Congress continues to let this go on. This must stop! Contact Congress right now!

Our First Amendment guarantees us the right to free exercise of religion, but others around the world are not so lucky.

The Muslim Brotherhood is gaining power in the “Arab Spring,” and Christians are under severe attack by the MB and another radical group called the Salafis.

Daniel Pipes, a Middle East scholar, predicts:
“At the present rate, the Middle East’s 12 million Christians will likely drop to 6 million in the year 2020. With time, Christians will effectively disappear from the region as a cultural and political force.”

Send a Fax to every Member of Congress right now and tell them to stop sanctioning religious persecution across the globe!

In EGYPT- The Egyptian Federation of Human Rights reports that by the end of this year, as many as 250,000 Christians could flee Egypt because of the persecution they are experiencing.

In IRAQ-The Shi’a Islamic faction in Iraq has gained power over the last ten years, and is becoming more and more hostile to Christians. Already, more than half of the Christian population – 400,000 – has left the country. Nina Shea, a member of the U.S. Commission for International Religious Freedom, says, “The goal of the extremists is to drive Christians from Iraq. It is religious cleansing.”

In LIBYA- At a rally on October 23rd in Benghazi, Libya’s National Transitional Council leader Mustafa Abdul Jalil said, “We are an Islamic state.” He also added, “As a Muslim country, we have adopted the Islamic Sharia as the main source of law. Accordingly, any law that contradicts Islamic principles with the Islamic Sharia is ineffective legally.”

In SYRIA-Many of the hundreds of thousands of Christians who fled Iraq went to Syria; however, if President Bashar Assad’s regime is toppled, these embattled Christians will likely face similar struggles and will be driven out of that country, as well.

Why is the United States sending money to countries that allow religious persecution? Congress needs to protect Christians around the world. Every freedom-loving citizen needs to contact Congress right now and tell them to STOP sending money to countries that murder Christians!

YOUR U.S. TAX DOLLARS ARE HELPING FUND THIS PERSECUTION! And, the State Department is doing nothing about it!

Jihad Watch reports,

Egypt…this year alone has seen nearly 80 Christians killed, their many churches burned or bombed, and their daughters kidnapped and forcibly converted…[yet it was not] listed as a “country of particular concern,” this despite the fact that the U.S. Commission for International Religious Freedom, an independent, bipartisan federal government commission, had recommended that the State Department designate it so.

Neither was Pakistan cited as a “country of particular concern.” “[Secretary] Clinton did not designate Pakistan even though the State Department’s own report stated that Pakistani law calls for the death penalty for people who commit ‘blasphemy’ against Islam or who convert from Islam to another religion – and even though the report listed multiple instances of the Pakistani government using the law to persecute Christians.”

The United States cannot continue to send money to countries that have no respect for religious freedom – and, we cannot continue to turn the other way as Christians around the world are killed for their beliefs.

Rep. Trent Franks (R-AZ), said “It is increasingly difficult for us as Americans to maintain support for a government that is attacking the voices that would help sustain its own democracy, while defending the Islamic extremists who inflame religious intolerance,” Franks said.

Tell Congress to ACT NOW and cut funding to countries that persecute Christians. Now is the time to act in the name of religious freedom around the world!

Hour Two: Eric Douma, a Twin Cities Pastor, joins Jan to help listeners better understand "Red Letter Christians." What do they believe? Why are their beliefs literally dangerous? Who are the leaders to avoid? How and where are they seducing millions, heavily young people? How are they promoting a form of neo-Marxism? (duration 00:54:58)

Hour Two: Calvin Beisner heads the Cornwall Alliance, and has a campaign, Resisting the Green Dragon. This effort calls Christians to take a look at the environmental movement including those headed by evangelicals. Environmentalism is encouraging a new religion, is targeting our youth, and has a global vision. Why are Christians going along with a one-world system by signing on to the false claims of the greens? One Christian outfit says that a "true evangelical proselytizes the planet." Since redistributing the wealth is behind almost all environmental efforts, why are Christians selling out? Having said this, please be good stewards of God's creation. “Finding Strength In Weakness”
“Have you ever wondered why the wicked seem to prosper while God’s children are often faced with an abundance of trials? Some Christians mistakenly think that if they trust in the King of kings, their lives will be trouble-free. As a medical doctor for over 33 years, Dr. William D. Black’s experience as a believer, husband, physician, soldier, father, caregiver, and patient have caused him to appreciate the fact that painful situations eventually come to all of us. In this in-depth study of tribulation, Dr. Black gives powerful insight into the character of God and His reason for allowing adversity in His children’s lives. Learn about the negative human reactions and adverse behavior that often accompany trying times and also about God’s plan for our response to these difficult situations. As you learn the depth of God’s love in allowing adversity, it will help you embrace these times as opportunities for spiritual growth rather than occasions for despair. Our proper response to tribulation draws us closer to God and bears testimony of God’s grace.”.-.

CHRISTIAN PRACTITIONERS AND ACADEMICS IN COLLABORATION BY Judith M. Dean The needs of the poor in developing countries for more productive and satisfying ways to earn their living and for better nutrition, education and health care are tremendous. God in his grace moves his people to contribute money, skills and other resources to meet these needs, often through the work of Christian development organizations. But the resources forthcoming from a fallen world are limited, and the call to exercise good stewardship over them is pressing. This book equips Christians for “thoughtful stewardship” the application of God-given analytical abilities in making the most of the limited resources available. In particular, it calls Christian development professionals to collaborate in thinking flexibly about the range of programs and policies that might be used to help the poor, and in gathering the evidence required for making wise program and policy design choices. For those in all stages of relie…

INTEGRATED APPROACHES TO DEFENDING THE CHRISTIAN FAITH: AN APOLOGETICS HANDBOOK BY Dr. Kenneth D. Boa and Robert Bowman Faith Has Its Reasons is a study of four different models of how apologetics should be done, an assessment of their strengths and weaknesses, and a proposal for integrating the best insights of each. Kenneth Boa and Robert Bowman have assembled a wealth of information about what Christians believe and how to present that faith to an unbelieving world. Remarkable both in its depth of content and ease of accessibility, Faith Has Its Reasons gives Christian laypeople the tools to address such critical questions as: * Why is belief in God rational despite the prevalence of evil in the world? * What facts support the church’s testimony that Jesus rose from the dead? * Can we be certain Christianity is true? * How can our faith in Christ be based on something more secure than our own understanding without descending into an irrational emotionalism?…
