According to Nonie, Muslims believe that Christians and Jews are sub-human and enemies of Allah and should live as hostages in any Muslim society.
One of the biggest factors driving this attitude is Shariah Law. Shariah Law is the Muslim legal code that has its own court system and Muslims are told they must abide by this system regardless of the country they are living in. While we may not see much of this playing out in the lives of American Muslims, she noted that once Muslims become about 3-4% of the population in a given nation, they begin demanding special Shariah rights.
